BOLENG, 26 May: Eighteen more households in Begging village signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), extending support for the pre-feasibility report (PFR) activities for the proposed Siang Upper Multipurpose Project (SUMP), at the deputy commissioner’s office here in Siang district on Tuesday.

The MoU signing process was overseen by DC Tayi Taggu, in the presence of officials of the district administration.

Earlier, 36 households had signed an agreement for the project’s PFR. With the latest development, a total of 54 households in Begging village have now signed MoUs for the PFR activities.

The district administration, led by Taggu, has been facilitating consultations and discussions to ensure community participation in the developmental initiative. (DIPRO)
