Editor,
We, the genuinely transfer-affected teachers, would like to make a humble and heartfelt appeal to the Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh' (CoSAAP) Central Executive Committee (CEC).
The recent rationalisation transfer exercise has left many teachers deeply distressed. A number of teachers have genuine and documented grounds that warrant consideration for exemption or reconsideration, including non-completion of the mandatory posting tenure, census duty, BLO duty, nearing retirement, and other legitimate circumstances.
Despite submitting representations supported by documentary evidence, many of us are still awaiting a meaningful consideration and clear decision on our cases. The situation has become even more distressing with the reported directions for the release of transferred teachers without first ensuring that their genuine representations have been duly examined and disposed of.
We had looked towards the Arunachal Teachers' Association (ATA) CEC with the hope that the genuine grievances of its members would be taken up at the appropriate level. Unfortunately, many affected teachers feel that the response from the association has not met the seriousness of the situation. We say this with utmost respect, but also with considerable disappointment.
At a time when genuine teachers are desperately seeking representation, their concerns should not remain unheard.
We are not asking any organisation to oppose legitimate transfers. We fully respect administrative decisions concerning teachers who are genuinely eligible for transfer. Our appeal is specifically regarding those cases where teachers have genuine grounds supported by documentary evidence and where their representations are still awaiting proper consideration.
At this critical juncture, we humbly look towards the CoSAAP CEC as our last hope for organisational intervention.
We sincerely appeal to the respected leadership of the CoSAAP to take up the genuine grievances of the affected teachers with the competent authorities, examine the circumstances of the cases, and seek a fair and reasonable resolution.
We request the CoSAAP to particularly take up the concern that a teacher should not be compelled to leave the district before his or her genuine representation for exemption has been properly examined and a decision communicated.
A representation supported by official documents should not become a mere formality. If the representation is genuine, it deserves a genuine response.
Our appeal is not for preferential treatment. We are not asking the CoSAAP to interfere with legitimate transfers. We are simply requesting that genuine cases be heard, verified and decided before irreversible or consequential administrative action is enforced.
Behind every transfer order is a teacher, a family, professional responsibilities and circumstances that cannot always be captured by a digital portal or a list generated through a rationalisation exercise.
At this moment, we need someone to say: "Hear the genuine case before releasing the genuine teacher."
Respected members of the CoSAAP CEC, we sincerely request you to come forward and take up this matter with the competent authorities. Please do not allow genuine teachers with genuine documentary evidence to feel that they are standing alone. Your intervention at this critical juncture would provide not only organisational support but also hope and confidence to teachers who are already under tremendous uncertainty and emotional distress.
We, the genuinely affected teachers, would remain deeply grateful to the CoSAAP if our genuine grievances are taken up and pursued with the authorities concerned for a fair and just resolution.
The ATA may have disappointed us, but we have not lost hope in collective representation. CoSAAP CEC, we look towards you. Please hear us. Please represent us. Please take up our genuine cases. Please help ensure that justice is not denied to teachers whose representations are supported by genuine documentary evidence.
We are not seeking a favour. We are seeking fairness.
Genuinely transfer-affected teachers
