DAPORIJO, 22 May: Arunachal Pradesh State Food Commission (APSFC) Chairman Tarh Tarak, along with the commission’s members Ngaasah Tangjangand Maji Chokar, convened a review meeting here in Upper Subansiri district on Friday to take stock of the achievements under the central and state flagship programmes.

The team reviewed the progress under the NFSA, AAY, SNP-HCF and PM Poshan schemes.

Presiding over the meeting, Tarak said that the objective of his tour to the districts is to take stock of ground level reality and challenges faced by the beneficiaries, as well as to address the concerns raised by government departments.

He underscored the need to create awareness about central and state welfare schemes, especially the National Food Security Act (NFSA).

He urged the departments concerned to be proactive in implementing welfare schemes, so that the beneficiaries may avail of the opportunities.

Choker and Tangjang also spoke.

DFCSO D Lampong presented a brief on the commodities’ stock, and placed the challenges in obtaining LPG cylinders in the district.

The meeting was attended by ADC Biaro Sorum and all the HoDs. (DIPRO)
