KHONSA, 29 Jun: The Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS) here in Tirap district organised a two-day educational and motivational tour for its students to provide them with experiential learning beyond the classroom while fostering patriotism, cultural awareness and a deeper appreciation of the rich heritage of Arunachal Pradesh.
On the first day of the tour on 27 June, the students visited the Golden Pagoda in Namsai, where they gained valuable insights into the region’s spiritual and cultural heritage. The visit also provided them with an opportunity to admire the architectural grandeur of one of the state’s most prominent Buddhist monasteries.
On the second day, the students visited the historic Pangsau Pass, where they learned about its geographical significance and its important role in the history of the region. The educational visit enabled the students to better understand the strategic and historical importance of this iconic landmark.
The students later visited the headquarters of the 25 Sector Assam Rifles and interacted with the deputy inspector general (DIG).
Addressing the students, the DIG encouraged them to pursue excellence through discipline, dedication and education, while inspiring them to become responsible citizens and contribute positively to society. (DIPRO)
