PASIGHAT, 6 Jul: Aini Taki Taloh, founder and chairperson of the Ayang Blood Donation Organisation, has received the prestigious ‘Rakt Seva Samman’ and ‘Iconic Blood Donor’ awards in recognition of her outstanding contribution to promoting voluntary blood donation.
The honours were presented during the International Blood Donation Festival-cum-conference and workshop held on Sunday at Gopal Narayan Singh University, Jamuhar, Rohtas, Bihar.
The citation described Taloh as the ‘Pride of Blood Donation’, recognising her humanitarian service and dedication to voluntary blood donation.
The recognition is being hailed as a proud moment not only for Pasighat and East Siang district but also for the entire state of Arunachal Pradesh, acknowledging Taloh’s unwavering commitment to saving lives through voluntary blood donation.
The awards were presented by Bipin Kumar Chaudhary, director, CID, Government of Bihar, and Dr Ashutosh Kumar Singh of the BHU blood bank, Varanasi.
The ceremony was attended by Gopal Narayan Singh University public relations officer Bhupendra Narayan Singh and Path Pradarshak chairman Bamendra Kumar Singh, along with several other dignitaries.
Expressing her gratitude, Taloh dedicated the awards to the countless voluntary blood donors, supporters, and members of the Ayang Blood Donation Organisation who have steadfastly supported the mission of saving lives through voluntary blood donation. She reaffirmed her commitment to serving humanity and appealed to more people, particularly the youths, to come forward as regular voluntary blood donors.
Over the years, the Ayang Blood Donation Organisation has earned widespread recognition for organising blood donation drives, raising awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation, and responding promptly to emergency blood requirements. The latest accolades further strengthen the organisation’s reputation as one of the leading voluntary blood donation initiatives in the region and stand as a testament to Aini Taki Taloh’s enduring dedication to the cause.
