CHAMBANG, 23 Sep: A three-day block-level foundation-cum-functional training programme to build the capacity of PRI representatives and functionaries for participatory, inclusive and accountable grassroots governance and improved public service delivery is under way here in Kra Daadi district. 

Chambang CO Tadang Rai, who inaugurated the programme, emphasized the importance of strengthening Panchayati Raj Institutions and grassroots governance. He urged participants to actively engage in the sessions, raise questions, seek clarifications and share field-level experiences.

Course director and SIRD&PR faculty member Tamar Baki is conducting the training sessions on Panchayati Raj governance, participatory planning, financial management, flagship schemes, transparency, accountability, inclusive governance and service delivery.  

ZPMs, GPMs, GPCs, BDOs, member secretaries, gram sevikas, anganwadi workers, ANMs, ASHAs and officials from various line departments are attending the programme. (DIPRO)
