ITANAGAR, 28 May: Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Thursday paid tributes to Vinayak Damodar Savarkar on his 143rd birth anniversary, remembering him as a fearless revolutionary and a staunch nationalist.

Khandu said the revolutionary devoted “every breath of his life” to the service of the nation.

“On the birth anniversary of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, humble tributes to a revolutionary who devoted every breath of his life to the service of the nation,” the chief minister said in a post on X.

He added the legacy of Veer Savarkar would continue to inspire generations with the ideals of patriotism, strength and national service.

Mein also paid heartfelt tributes to Savarkar, describing him as one of India’s most fearless revolutionaries and influential thinkers.

In a social media post, Mein said Savarkar’s unwavering courage, deep sense of nationalism and enduring contributions to India’s freedom movement continue to inspire generations across the country.

“His life remains a powerful reminder of sacrifice, resilience and an unshakable commitment to Bharat,” Mein said.

He expressed hope that Savarkar’s ideals would continue to strengthen the collective resolve towards building a strong, united and self-reliant India. (PTI)
