ITANAGAR, 26 May: Former MLA Tani Loffa, who earlier served as the state BJP Yuva Morcha president, rejoined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday in the presence party president Kaling Moyong and Home Minister Mama Natung, according to a BJP release.
Loffa, a two-time MLA, had contested the last Assembly election on an NPP ticket.
Terming it ‘homecoming’, the BJP said Loffa’s return would further strengthen party organisation in the region.
Welcoming Loffa to the party fold, Moyong urged him to continue working with dedication and commitment, guided by the principles and vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pema Khandu.
Natung urged Loffa to share his political experience and organisational knowledge with party workers to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
Loffa reaffirmed his commitment to serve the people and contribute towards the vision of a developed and empowered Arunachal Pradesh under the leadership of the prime minister and the chief minister.
