ITANAGAR, 24 Sep: Governor KT Parnaikpresented the Governor's Citation to Subedar & Honorary Lieutenant Karn Singh, house comptroller, Lok Bhavan, on Thursday, in recognition of Singh's distinguished military service and exemplary contribution to the efficient management of the Lok Bhavan.

Congratulating him, the governor said that Subedar & Honorary Lieutenant Singh "embodies the values of dedication, discipline, integrity and selfless service that define the finest traditions of the Indian armed forces."

A battle-hardened veteran of the Kargil War and a soldier of the Rajputana Rifles, Singh has served the nation with courage and commitment in challenging operational environments.

The governor particularly appreciated his outstanding role as house comptroller since joining the Lok Bhavan in May 2023. He said that Singh has ensured seamless administration, effective security management and smooth functioning of the governor's establishment with remarkable professionalism, attention to detail and a quiet sense of responsibility.

"His contribution has been instrumental in maintaining the high standards and efficiency of the Lok Bhavan," Parnaik said.

As Singh returns to his regimental centre and is preparing for his retirement in October 2026, the governor urged him to continue serving the nation by inspiring the younger generation.

The governor expressed confidence that Singh's legacy of service, courage and commitment would continue to inspire many young Indians for years to come. (Lok Bhavan)
