ITANAGAR, 3 Oct: The NSCN/GPRN alleged that Indian Army carried out indiscriminate drone attack on the peaceful Naga population of Langkho village in the Eastern Konyak Region in the early Saturday morning, leaving two innocent civilians, including a 9-year-old girl, injured.

In a press statement, the NSCN/GPRN (YA group) strongly condemned the alleged attack and said targeting defenceless civilians out of battlefield frustration and as retaliation reflects a breach in military ethics and constitutes a crime against humanity and violation of international humanitarian law.

It called upon the United Nations and international monitoring bodies to take note of the incident.

"The world must not remain silent when innocent public and children become victims of armed conflict as it will embolden further atrocities. The deliberate targeting of our civilian population will not be tolerated," it stated

It also issued a warning to all Naga 'proxy' groups and individuals allegedly providing intelligence and logistical support to Indian agencies, stating that they will be held fully accountable for their alleged actions.

"The NSCN/GPRN and the Naga army remain unyielding in our duty to protect the Naga people, our land and our freedom. We extend our deep solidarity to the families of the injured victims and to the entire community of Langkho village," the statement added.
