The IYC has urged the state government to present the concerns of Taksing's residents directly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It also questioned Chief Minister Pema Khandu, alleging that the administration has failed to adequately address the recurring grievances of frontier residents.
According to the IYC, if no Chinese intrusion has occurred, the government must conduct an immediate, transparent verification and publicly clarify the facts. However, if unauthorised Chinese activity is confirmed, the government should promptly inform the public about the measures being taken to protect India's territorial integrity.
Parallelly, the Save Taksing Save Arunachal Movement Committee criticised the governor's denial of the Chinese PLA intrusion. The committee highlighted that local groups and organisations have physically visited the border areas and documented alleged intrusions and construction work.
Ultimately, despite the ongoing discussions, claims, and counterclaims, the responsibility lies with the government. It must address the anxieties of border residents, establish the ground reality through competent security agencies, and keep the public reassured.
