JIA, 31 Jul: Many patients suffering from various ailments were treated during a free health camp organised here in Lower Dibang Valley district by the RIWATCH Arogya Centre on Friday.
RIWATCH Arogya Centre Medical Officer Dr Techi Yumyi along with her team treated 39 patients suffering from chronic high blood pressure, arthritis, and gastric ailments. Most of the patients were above 60 years of age.
The patients were also provided free medical consultation, health check-ups, and Ayurvedic medicines.
The initiative aimed to reach communities with limited access to regular healthcare services, while also raising awareness about the benefits of panchakarma therapy as a safe and effective system of traditional healing.
During interactions with the villagers, Dr Yumyi explained the benefits of panchakarma therapy, highlighting its role in preventive healthcare, pain management, and overall wellbeing.
She encouraged patients to consider panchakarma treatment, assuring them of its effectiveness and freedom from side effects.
Patients were also counselled on adopting a healthy lifestyle and maintaining a proper, balanced diet as part of long-term wellness.
The camp was part of the centre’s ongoing outreach initiative to extend quality healthcare and Ayurvedic wellness services to remote and underserved communities of the district.
