LIKABALI, 8 Jun: Rural Works Department (RWD) Secretary Duly Kamduk emphasised the need for strict quality control, timely execution, and effective monitoring while reviewing the implementation and progress of PMGSY and Vibrant Village Programme (VVP) projects under in Bam and Pasighat circles at a meeting here in Lower Siang district on Monday.
He asked all implementing agencies to work in close coordination and address bottlenecks hindering the projects’ progress.
The review focused on the status of projects being implemented under project implementation units (PIUs) of Yingkiong, Pasighat, Kaying, Panging, Mechukha, Aalo, Basar, and Likabali.
Officials presented project-wise progress reports, challenges faced in the field, and measures being taken to expedite completion of works.
The review meeting provided a platform for assessing project performance, resolving implementation challenges, and charting a roadmap for timely completion of critical infrastructure projects in the region.
RWD Chief Engineer (PMGSY) Nyai Rigia highlighted the importance of quality infrastructure and timely completion of road projects. Rigia reiterated the department’s commitment to strengthening rural road connectivity and ensuring successful implementation of PMGSY and VVP projects across the state.
Discussions were also held on quality-related issues and innovative measures being adopted for effective project implementation.
