ITANAGAR, 30 Aug: The Wildlife Trust of India (WTI), in collaboration with The Serenity Trust and the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, provided essential field gear and equipment to frontline staff of the Kamlang Tiger Reserve to strengthen field preparedness and anti-poaching operations in the reserve.

The beneficiaries include frontline forest personnel, guards, and the Special Tiger Protection Force deployed in the reserve. The items are expected to enhance on-ground patrolling efficiency, improve field safety, and support staff working in difficult terrain and challenging weather conditions to protect the reserve's rich biodiversity.

WTI veterinarian Dr Panjit Basumatry, Range Forest Officer Bunty Tao, and other forest officials were present during the programme.
