ITANAGAR, 29 Aug: The zonal rounds of the 21st Tadar Tang State Level Football Tournament 2026 is scheduled to begin on 30 August.

Twenty-seven teams, including Arunachal Pradesh Police Sports Control Board (APPSCB), are participating this year, and have been divided into four groups.

Group A comprises Papum Pare, Kurung Kumey, Kra Daadi, Upper Subansiri, Keyi Panyor, Bichom and Leparada, while Group B includes Pakke-Kessang, Lower Dibang Valley, Anjaw, Kamle, Shi-Yomi, Siang and Lohit.

Lower Subansiri, East Kameng, Tawang, West Kameng, Namsai and Dibang Valley have been placed in Group C, and East Siang, West Siang, Lower Siang, Upper Siang, Changlang, APPSCB and Tirap have been clubbed together in Group D, the Arunachal Pradesh Football Association (APFA) said.

The group matches will be held at four different venues - Yupia (Group A), Tezu (Group B), Hapoli (Group C) and Pasighat (Group D).

The APFA said Group A, B and D matches will begin on 30 August, while Group C matches in Hapoli will begin on 31 August.

Kra Daadi will play against Upper Subansiri at Yupia at 3 pm on 30 August, before Kurung Kumey taking on Papum Pare at 6:30 pm.

In Group B, Anjaw will be up against Kamle in Tezu at 12 noon, while Lower Dibang Valley will take on Pakke-Kessang at 3 pm.

In Group D, Lower Siang will take on Upper Siang at 1 pm in Pasighat and West Siang will play against host East district East Siang at 3 pm.

Two teams from each group will advance to the final round, which will be held at Yupia. Defending champion Capital Complex has been given automatic qualification to the final round.

The tournament is being organised by APFA in collaboration with the Department of Sports, and is sponsored by the SAA.
