Editor,
I would like to appeal to the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), the premier recruitment body of the state, to kindly consider calling candidates for the final Assistant Professor Interview in a 1:10 ratio instead of a 1:3 ratio, thereby allowing 10 (ten) eligible candidates per vacancy to participate in the final interview process, while considering the large number of highly qualified unemployed candidates in the state. I also wish to bring the APPSC’s attention to the fact that in some subjects, very few vacancies have been advertised. If the 1:3 ratio is followed, many highly qualified unemployed youth of the state may remain deprived of the same opportunities. Therefore, at least the maximum number of candidates should be given the opportunity to participate in the interview selection process. Such an approach would broaden the competitive pool and provide equal opportunities to a larger number of deserving aspirants with strong academic credentials, research experience, publications, and teaching potential, etc.
The aspiring candidates of the state highly hope that APPSC will consider this request favourably while conducting the Assistant Professor interviews in a ratio of at least 1:10 for each post.
A concerned aspirant
