We would like to draw the attention of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) and Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) towards the genuine difficulties faced by a group of deserving candidates.
The BEd final semester results were declared on 20 July. However, the original mark sheets and degree certificates have not yet been issued by the university. At the same time, many of these students have also qualified the APPSC TGT written examination held on 12 July.
The APPSC has scheduled the submission of the detailed application form (DAF) from 23 July to 3 August. Unfortunately, by that time, many successful BEd candidates may not receive their mark sheets and certificates, making it difficult for them to complete the DAF process despite having successfully passed the examination.
These candidates deserve fair consideration. Within a very short span after completing their BEd examinations in May, they not only passed the BEd final semester but also cleared the highly competitive APPSC TGT written examination. This reflects their dedication, capability, and merit. They should not lose the opportunity to appear in the viva voce due to delays in the issuance of documents that are beyond their control.
Therefore, we sincerely request the authorities concerned to consider either of the following measures:
- RGU may expedite the issuance of the BEd mark sheets and degree certificates before the DAF submission deadline, or
- The APPSC may allow provisional submission of the DAF based on the officially declared BEd result, provisional certificate, or result notification, with the condition that the original mark sheets and degree certificates be submitted when the RGU releases their certificates and mark sheets, in case they clear the viva voce.
Such a compassionate and practical decision would ensure that deserving candidates are not deprived of an equal opportunity due to administrative delays. It would also uphold the principles of fairness and merit in the recruitment process.
