The decision to club FAO with ADO, HDO, FO and other technical examinations has substantially changed the FAO syllabus. The inclusion of commercial mathematics as the sole criterion in recruitment test appears to be a consequence of this combined pattern and may give an undue advantage to candidates with mathematics as an optional subject. We request the APPSC to reconsider the pattern and include general awareness along with commercial mathematics, as done in the recently conducted assistant engineer examination. Further, while the syllabi of ADO, HDO and other technical posts were provided well in advance, the revised FAO syllabus was notified much later. Aspirants therefore need at least 3-4 months of preparation time to adapt to the new syllabus. I appeal to the APPSC to prioritise fairness and adequate preparation over speedy conduct of examinations and provide a minimum of 3-4 months' preparation time for a smooth, transparent and hassle-free recruitment process. Appeal to APPSC regarding FAO/TO and STO exam

I wish to highlight the concerns of aspirants regarding the forthcoming FAO/TO and STO examinations.

The decision to club FAO with ADO, HDO, FO and other technical examinations has substantially changed the FAO syllabus. The inclusion of commercial mathematics as the sole criterion in recruitment test appears to be a consequence of this combined pattern and may give an undue advantage to candidates with mathematics as an optional subject.
