PASIGHAT, 20 Aug: The Spearhead Division of the Indian Army organised a community outreach programme at the Government Town Secondary School in Tuting in Upper Siang district, with the participation of 43 students, five teachers, and Indian Army personnel.
The programme aimed at promoting awareness, creativity, responsible citizenship and community harmony through a series of interactive activities, including a poster-making competition, quiz, and motivational lecture.
The motivational interaction focused on empathy, mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and the role of young citizens in building an inclusive and harmonious society. Students actively participated in the activities and had an opportunity to interact with Army personnel, fostering greater understanding and mutual respect.
The programme also provided a platform to strengthen the bond between the Indian Army and the local community. It concluded with a collective pledge by the participants to uphold the values of unity, mutual respect and responsible citizenship.
The initiative reaffirmed the Indian Army's continued commitment to engaging with communities in remote border areas and encouraging young minds through constructive and community-oriented activities. (DIPRO)
