PASIGHAT, 20 Jul: The East Siang district unit of the Arunachal Teachers’ Association (ATA) has expressed profound grief over the untimely demise of ICT (ISSE) Tami Apang, who passed away on 18 July at his residence in Tuting, following a prolonged illness.

He was only 30 years old.

Born on 12 January, 1996, Apang had joined the teaching service on 18 July, 2023 and was serving at the Government Upper Primary School, Mer, his first place of posting. A graduate with a Bachelor of Science, he was widely admired for his sincerity, humility, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the profession of teaching, the ATA unit stated in a condolence message.

“His untimely demise is a great loss to the teaching fraternity, his colleagues, students, friends, and the community. Though his service was brief, he leaves behind a legacy of kindness, integrity, and selfless service that will continue to inspire those who knew him,” it said.

Late Apang is survived by his parents, a brother, and a sister.

Standing in solidarity with the bereaved family, the ATA unit prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul, and for strength to the bereaved family.
