ITANAGAR, 4 Sep: The Department of Youth Affairs conducted preliminary rounds of its quiz competition 'Battle of Minds 3.0' in West Kameng and Leparada on 3 September, and in Tirap on 4 September.

In West Kameng, it was conducted at Government Secondary School Kakaling, where 21 teams comprising 42 participants from GHSSs Bomdila, Thrizino and Dirang, VKV Shergaon, GSS Kakaling, Siddhartha Wisdom English School, and Navjyoti Royal Heritage School took part.

In Leparada, the competition was conducted in Basar. Twenty-six teams, comprising 52 participants from GHSSs Basar and Dari, GSSs Tai and Basar Bazaar, VKV Basar, Government Town UPS Basar, GB English Academy, and Ek Javya Model Residential School Tirbin participated in it.

In Tirap, Khonsa Town Upper Primary School hosted the competition. Of the total 17 teams that participated in the competition, 11 were from Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Girls' School, Khonsa, alone. Ramakrishna Mission School, Narottam Nagar and GHSS Deomali participated with three teams each.

Basar and Tirap have been included as preliminary round centres for the first time to further expand the reach of the competition.
