ITANAGAR, 2 Sep: The 3rd Edition of Battle of Minds - Inter-District Quiz Championship, organised by the department of youth affairs, has commenced its preliminary rounds across the state.
The first set of preliminary rounds was conducted on 1 September at Tawang and Likabali. The Tawang round held at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Tawang, witnessed an enthusiastic participation of 41 teams, comprising 82 participants. The Likabali round saw the participation of 25 teams, comprising 50 participants, the department said in a release.
The Longding round was conducted on 2 September at GHSS, which witnessed participation of 34 teams, comprising 68 participants.
This year, Battle of Minds 3.0 has introduced a new team-based written preliminary format, where both members of a team jointly attempt a single question paper. The format has been designed to reflect the core spirit of the competition-testing not only knowledge but also teamwork, discussion and collective decision-making.
The Battle of Minds teams will travel across designated centres in Arunachal Pradesh to conduct the remaining preliminary rounds. Once all districts have been covered, the scores secured by the top-performing teams will be compared, and the top four teams overall will qualify for the grand finale.
Through Battle of Minds 3.0, the department aims to provide young people across the state with a platform to showcase their knowledge, critical thinking, teamwork and competitive spirit.
