Editor,
Numerous concerns have been raised by many aspirants regarding the forthcoming trained graduate teacher (TGT) examination, and the concerns are justified. While I acknowledge that the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has performed commendably in conducting several examinations, there remains scope for further improvement.
I respectfully request the commission to rectify the growing apprehensions among candidates by revising the seating plan, so that candidates of the same subject are not seated adjacent to one another, which will ensure no occurrence of cheating or malpractice.
The questions must be strictly confined to the prescribed syllabus and of the graduate level, as there have been some discussions regarding the inclusion of out-of-syllabus questions for certain subjects in the post graduate teacher (PGT) examination.
And unlike in the PGT examination, it is respectfully requested that the commission set standardised questions of a consistently appropriate and higher standard for general studies/English/pedagogy/teaching aptitude paper, which carries weight towards the final score and significantly influences the final ranking.
I trust that the commission will undertake efforts towards improvement and ensure that the examination is conducted without any adverse reaction.
