ZIRO, 28 Jul: Lower Subansiri Deputy Commissioner Oli Perme, along with Zilla Parishad Chairperson (ZPC) Hibu Dumi and District Youth Officer (DYO) Shaffali Yadav discussed the deployment and impact of the Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) initiative across Lower Subansiri district, here on Tuesday.

The meeting served as a comprehensive planning session to transition the legacy of the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) into the new, technology-driven MY Bharat framework, active from 2023 onwards.

DYO Yadav detailed the vision of MY Bharat as a premier “phygital” organisation, harmonising physical grassroots engagement with digital accessibility to provide equitable opportunities to the district’s youth.

The DYO provided an in-depth overview of the core features accessible to youths aged 15-29 through their MY Bharat profiles. Key initiatives highlighted included experiential learning programmes (ELP), volunteers for Bharat modules, mega events, leadership builders, and creative engagement streams such as quiz, essay, and podcast competitions.

Additionally, plans were shared for the upcoming ‘My Bharat Mentors’ feature, which will directly connect local youths with experienced professionals for career and personal guidance.

Based on suggestions provided by the DC, the meeting finalised the formation of the District My Bharat Advisory Council (DMBAC) to ensure multi-sectoral leadership and inter-departmental synergy. The advisory body, championed the DC and the ZPC, will formally include the superintendent of police, district agriculture officer, district health officer, and local representatives from across Lower Subansiri district to guide youth-centric policies.

The meeting concluded with a unanimous pledge by all participating officials and local administration heads to drive district-wide enrollment on the MY Bharat portal, ensuring that every young citizen across Lower Subansiri can actively contribute to and benefit from this transformational national vision.
