ITANAGAR, 16 Jul: The 5th sitting of the Committee on Government Assurances (GAC) of the 8th Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh reviewed the action taken replies furnished by various departments, including the Public Works, Sports, SJETA and others, in respect of the assurances made by the government on the floor of the House during the 4th, 5th and 7th Legislative Assemblies of Arunachal.

 During the sitting, which was chaired by GAC Chairman and MLA Laisam Simai at the secretariat here on Thursday, the committee examined the status of implementation of the assurances, and stressed the need for timely and effective compliance by the departments concerned.

The committee also resolved to seek status reports on various incomplete projects from the departments concerned for detailed examination during its next sitting.

The sitting was attended by MLAs Talem Taboh, Rotom Tebin, Tsering Lhamu. Among the officers of the secretariat, Secretary Tadar Meena, Additional Secretary Agaab Mossang, and Undersecretary Kheto Lowang attended the sitting. (Speaker’s PR Cell)
