RAGA, 7 Oct:  The Kamle district administration, in collaboration with department of sport, organized indigenous game & sports in Yada general ground here in the district on Wednesday to mark the Sankalp Diwas.

Attending the programme MLA Rotom Tebin emphasized on indigenous sports, urging youths to come forward and participate in sports event with enthusiasm.

Deputy commissioner J.T Obi, while attending the programme, called for promotion of indigenous games and sports by one and all.

Indigenous sports are getting recognition in national level, Kamle ZPC Boni Tamen said and urged the local people to promote own indigenous sports.

In-charge DSO Mantu Gyadi said that the government is giving equal importance to the indigenous sports as other national games and sports to promote and preserve traditional games and sports.

Winners of various indigenous sports and games competitions both in male and female category were awarded with cash and certificates by the MLA.
