SEPPA, 10 Sep: A legal awareness programme was organised by the Women and Child Development (WCD) Department, in collaboration with the WWO here in East Kameng district on Thursday, with the objective of creating awareness about legal rights, particularly those concerning women and children.

The programme was attended by APSCPCR member Neri Chongruju, APSCPCR Member Secretary Yakar Dawe, and Seppa CJM Damge Neri, along with other dignitaries and stakeholders.

Speaking as resource persons, MO Dr Papi Natungand Professor Dr Merchi Chi dwelt on various aspects of legal awareness, health, safety, and protection.

Representatives of schools, NGOs, CBOs, AEKSU, Bazaar Line and Bebo Colony, along with students from various schools, and other stakeholders actively participated in the programme.

The programme emphasised the importance of legal awareness and collective efforts towards ensuring safety, protection and empowerment of women and children. (DIPRO)
