NAHARLAGUN, 12 Jun: The Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA), under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), organised a legal awareness programme at the Oju Welfare Association here on Friday to mark the World Day against Child Labour.

Among the attendees were APSLSA Member Secretary Tadu Tamang and Oju Welfare Association superintendent Jangphun Tangjang.

As part of the awareness initiative, the APSLSA screened short documentaries on drug abuse, the POCSO Act, domestic violence, and elderly abuse,followed by awareness sessions on child rights, the JJ Act, the POCSO Act, the Right to Education Act, the NALSA Child-Friendly Legal Services Scheme, Victim Compensation Scheme, and prevention of sexual harassment at workplace by advocates Techi Nech and Mary Howrangbam.

Ninety-five participants attended the programme, the APSLSA informed in a release.
