ITANAGAR, 31 Aug: Eleven-year-old Marpi Karlo from Arunachal Pradesh has achieved a remarkable feat in shooting by qualifying for the National Shooting Championship Competition (NSCC) in the sub-youth and youth category.
She made the qualification for the NSCC, to be held in New Delhi, with an impressive score of 369 out of 400 at the 13th North East Zone Shooting Championship held in Guwahati, Assam from 25 to 30 August, the Arunachal Pradesh Rifle Association (APRA) said.
Karlo hails from Lower Siang district and is a Class 7 student of VKV Nirjuli.
Congratulating the young shooter, APRA president Chukhu Apa expressed confidence that she would continue to excel at the national level.
"Her outstanding performance is a matter of great pride for Arunachal Pradesh and reflects her dedication, discipline and commitment to the sport of shooting," the APRA said in a release.
The association extended its best wishes to Karlo for the upcoming event and expressed hope that she would bring more pride to the state and the country in the future.
