ITANAGAR, 24 Jul: The Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA) concluded its 40-hour mediation training programme for advocates and legal aid defence counsels with a valedictory ceremony held at DK Convention Hall here on Friday.

Organised under the aegis of the Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee (MCPC) of the Supreme Court and the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), the five-day programme equipped participants with advanced mediation skills through intensive theoretical and practical sessions conducted by senior MCPC trainers.

A total of 32 advocates, each with over 10 years of legal practice, representing various districts of Arunachal Pradesh, completed the certified training programme. Completion certificates were presented by APSLSA Member Secretary Tadu Tamang, who congratulated the participants and urged them to actively promote mediation as an effective, accessible, and people-centric mechanism for dispute resolution.

“Mediation plays a pivotal role in reducing the burden of litigation, preserving relationships, and ensuring timely and amicable settlement of disputes,” Tamang said.
