Editor,
One of the worst-affected areas hit by the recent flash floods triggered by a cloudburst in the state is Dari circle in Leparada district. In Jime village alone, three granary houses were washed away, leaving the affected families without their stored food and facing an uncertain future.
Sadly, despite the scale of the devastation, there has been little to no discussion about the plight of Dari circle on social media or by the state government to date.
Amidst this hardship, there is a ray of hope. Thanks to the personal intervention and tireless efforts of Leparada MLA Nyabi Jini Dirchi, ZPM Karnya Bam Chiram, engineer Dojum Chiram, PRI leaders, and the dedicated people of Zirdo and Dari villages, the Ego-Zirdo road has been restored.
There are hardly any words adequate enough to express our gratitude for their selfless service and commitment. Their efforts have brought hope to the affected people when they needed it the most.
A heartfelt salute to all of them. History will remember these noble deeds.
