ITANAGAR, 11 Jun: The All Arunachal Pradesh Youth Organisation (AAPYO) on Thursday submitted a representation to the governor, seeking a comprehensive and independent inquiry into the appointment, promotion, and service records of Mai Kuru Camdir alias Mai Ranjit Camdir, a suspended former official of the NERIST, Nirjuli.

According to the representation, Camdir was initially appointed as public relations-cum-liaison-cum-security officer on 9 June, 2001. The organisation has raised concerns regarding his subsequent career progression, and sought verification of all appointment orders, promotion orders, eligibility criteria, service records, and administrative decisions connected with his tenure.

The AAPYO requested the competent authorities to examine whether all appointments and promotions were made in accordance with the applicable statutes, rules, regulations, and government guidelines. The organisation further sought an impartial investigation into allegations of administrative irregularities, misuse of official position, abuse of authority, and any actions that may have adversely affected institutional governance and public interest.

The representation also called for an inquiry into allegations that undue benefits, favours, employment opportunities, contractual advantages, or other privileges may have been extended to relatives, associates, or connected persons through misuse of official influence.

The organisation has requested the authorities to scrutinise all relevant records and transactions to determine whether any conflict of interest, nepotism, or violation of institutional norms occurred.

The AAPYO served a 15-day ultimatum to the authorities concerned to take appropriate action based on the findings of the inquiry, failing which, it said, it would resort to democratic action.
