ITANAGAR, 19 Sep: The Arts Club of Dera Natung Government College (DNGC), in collaboration with the college's Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organised an orientation programme for new members at the college conference hall here on Saturday.
The event brought together former, current, and newly inducted members in a celebration of creativity and learning.
The programme was attended by Zoology HoD Dr Prasanta Nanda and Education HoD Dr Bige Yomgam, among others.
Members of the club showcased their artistic talents while introducing themselves, creating an atmosphere of inspiration and collaboration.
In her address, Dr Yomgam encouraged the students to uphold the club's ethics, remain cooperative and disciplined, and make the most of the Arts Club as a platform to refine their skills.
Dr Nanda delivered a talk connecting neuroscience with creativity. He explained how active motor neurons enhance artistic skills, and emphasised the importance of a mindful diet to stimulate dopamine-the "happy hormone" - for healthier and more productive outcomes. He also highlighted how artistic talents can serve as both personal fulfilment and professional opportunities, stressing the real-world application of art.
