YUPIA, 14 Aug: The PM SHRI Cell, ISSE-Samagra Shiksha, Papum Pare district conducted a series of training programmes and competitions across PM SHRI schools in the district under the innovation activities component of the Prime Minister's Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) scheme from 6 to 13 August.
The initiative aimed to provide students with practical, interactive and experiential learning opportunities.
Students from PM SHRI NTGRS, Ompuli, PM SHRI GMS Bormai Nishi, PM SHRI GMS Yupia and PM SHRI GRS, Nakar participated in various training programmes and competitions held during the weeklong programme.
The activities included 21st century learning and information skills training, career guidance and counselling, financial literacy education, cyber safety awareness, science seminar-cum-book fair, science congress/Olympiad competition, and PM SHRI quiz and debate competitions.
At the district level, the activities were conducted at PM SHRI Government Middle School, Yupia. PM SHRI GMS Yupia secured the maximum prizes across the competitions and emerged as the leading-performing school among the participating institutions.
The series of programmes was inaugurated by DDSETT Tara on 6 August.
Speaking on the occasion, DPC Tang Moromi emphasised the importance of equipping students with relevant knowledge, skills and competencies for the 21st century.
The initiative was part of the ongoing efforts of the district's PM SHRI Cell to strengthen innovation-based and experiential learning in schools and create an enabling educational environment that prepares students to meet the opportunities and challenges of the future.
The programmes were organised in collaboration with Adhyayan Foundation, Itanagar, along with resource persons from the DDSE office, Yupia. (DIPRO)
