Around 80 students participated in the programme with great enthusiasm.
The programme was organised by the Department of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (SDE), GoAP, and was facilitated by the NABARD.
In Roing in Dibang Valley district also, the SDE Department organised an awareness session as part of the finishing course for the ITI trainees graduating in August this year.
The awareness session formed part of a broader effort by the department and the NABARD to strengthen linkages between technical training and entrepreneurship, thereby promoting self-employment, job creation, and sustainable local enterprises across Arunachal Pradesh.
The programme, held at the Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Roing was exclusively for the final-year students, and was aimed at familiarising them with government schemes and procedures that support entrepreneurship and enterprise creation, the organiser said in a release.
NABARD DDC Shivaji Munshi conducted the session, providing a comprehensive presentation that guided students through the range of central and state government schemes available to aspiring entrepreneurs. The session emphasised how students can identify schemes appropriate to their qualifications, and provided a step-by-step walkthrough of application procedures and the documentation required to access support.
“The objective of this programme is to equip our graduating trainees with practical knowledge and confidence to navigate official channels and convert skills into sustainable livelihoods,” Munshi said.
ITI Principal RC Dutta encouraged the students to make full use of the government schemes to foster sustainable development and self-employment. Dutta also commended a final-year trainee, Reni Thadu, for availing of a DDUSY loan for her biodegradable disposable plate and glass-making project.
He urged all final-year students to proactively pursue opportunities and contribute to the socioeconomic development of the region.
