RONO HILLS, 13 Jul: Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), Prof Shivaraj, held an interactive session with the non-teaching employees of the university here on Monday.

The programme provided a platform for open dialogue, enabling the VC to engage directly with the administrative and supporting staff and share his vision for strengthening institutional governance, work culture, and collective growth.

In his address, the vice-chancellor emphasised professionalism, integrity, accountability, teamwork, and innovation as the cornerstones of institutional excellence. He encouraged every employee to contribute wholeheartedly towards transforming RGU into a nationally recognised centre of academic and administrative excellence.

Registrar Dr NT Rikam reaffirmed the university’s commitment to fostering a transparent, efficient, and employee-friendly administrative environment, which was followed by brief addresses delivered by Prof SK Nayak, Finance Officer Prof Otem Padung, and Controller of Examinations Dr Bijay Raji, highlighting the importance of coordinated administrative efforts in achieving the university’s objectives.

RGUEA president Nich Bapu and Deputy Registrar (Administration) Solung Sonam also shared their views and expectations during the interaction.

Among others, RGU Librarian Dr SK Jena, Joint Registrar (Examinations & Project) Dr David Pertin, Joint Director (Computer Centre) Tsering Dorjee Megejee, Chief Medical Officer Dr Akin Tana Tara, Executive Engineer BK Shah, Deputy Registrar (Administration) Solung Sonam, Deputy Registrar (Finance) Gomar Basar, Assistant Registrar (Academic) Oriental Taggu, Assistant Director (Physical Education) Dr Yuvaraj, Senior Security Officer Badal Techi, and other key officers and officials attended the interactive session, the university informed in a release.
