ROING, 2 Jun: The third batch of the ‘APPSC prelims facilitation programme’ commenced on Tuesday at the RIWATCH campus here in Lower Dibang Valley district.

The programme is being jointly organised by the RIWATCH (Research Institute of World’s Ancient Traditions, Cultures and Heritage) and Pune (Maharashtra)-based Jnana Prabodhini Competitive Examinations Centre (JPCEC), with the objective of supporting civil services aspirants from Arunachal Pradesh in their preparation for the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) examination.

The inaugural programme was conducted in a hybrid mode, bringing together participants both in person and online.

DSP Pujom Buchi and UPSC IFS&IFoS Mohini Jagtap were among the attendees.

Sharing insights from his own APPSC preparation journey, Buchi encouraged the aspirants to remain resilient in the face of challenges. Emphasising the importance of determination and perseverance, he spoke about the need to stay committed to one’s goals despite difficulties.

In her address, Jagtap spoke about the importance of the “three ‘Ts’ – time, temperament, and trust.”She explained how effective time management, emotional balance, and confidence in the preparation process help aspirants navigate challenges and perform to the best of their abilities. She motivated the students to remain focused and consistent throughout their preparation journey.

Both speakers shared their personal experiences and practical insights, providing valuable guidance to the participants.

The programme also featured addresses by RIWATCH Executive Director Vijay Swami, JPCEC head of department Dr Savita Kulkarni, and JPCEC chief mentor Dr Vivek Kulkarni. They emphasised the importance of clarity of purpose, disciplined effort, and systematic study for achieving success in competitive examinations.

The inaugural session was virtually attended by union Home Secretary Prashant Lokhande, who offered his best wishes to the students for the upcoming exams and shared his experiences from years of service in Arunachal. He also highlighted the significance of integrity, discipline, and ethical conduct among the aspirants preparing for public services.

The programme was also virtually attended by DSP Taba Biroy, who extended his best wishes to the aspirants and encouraged them to remain dedicated to their goals.

The APPSC prelims facilitation programme is designed as a 14-week prelims-focused training initiative. The first two weeks will be conducted in a hybrid format, followed by online mentoring, test practice, and guidance sessions. More than 45 aspirants have enrolled for the programme this year, with around 20 students attending the residential component at the RIWATCH campus.

The programme reflects the continued commitment of the RIWATCH and the JPCEC towards strengthening competitive examination preparedness among the youths of Arunachal and nurturing future public servants for the state, the RIWATCH stated in a release.
