PALIN, 21 Sep: The Kra Daadi district administration convened a consultative meeting with prominent local clan and society leaders under the Palin jurisdiction to discuss the upcoming Phase 2 (population enumeration) of the census operations.

The meeting was specifically called to engage civil society leadership and establish a collaborative framework to ensure seamless execution of the second phase.

Representatives from 14 clan and welfare societies -including executive members such as presidents and general secretaries, notably of the Bindung Welfare Society, Biri Welfare Society, Dui Welfare Society, G4 Welfare Society, Gerchi Welfare Society, All Heri Welfare Association, Khyoda Welfare Society, Dunik Welfare Society, Puroik Welfare Society, Takam Welfare Society, Taku Welfare Society, Tassar Welfare Society, Tassar Welfare Society and Tunar Welfare Society -were in attendance. No one turned up from the Tarh Welfare Society.

The discussions focused on the key operational hurdles faced by the district administration during the Phase 1 houselisting operations, establishing lessons learnt to prevent similar issues in the upcoming phase.

District officials outlined the pivotal role community leaders can play during Phase 2 (population enumeration), emphasising how local support directly improves field coverage.

Strategies were highlighted on how clan leaders and societies can actively assist enumerators to ensure maximum data accuracy, authenticity, and complete coverage across all households.

A dedicated one-on-one interaction segment allowed society representatives to share field-level feedback, raise localised concerns, and offer actionable suggestions directly to the administration.

The interactive session proved highly constructive, culminating in full support from all attending society and clan representatives. The leaders unanimously committed to actively supporting field staff and facilitating maximum public cooperation throughout the population enumeration drive.
