BOLENG, 28 May: Union Minister of State (MoS) for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Shobha Karandlaje, on Thursday conducted a comprehensive review meeting and site visits in Siang district to assess ongoing developmental activities and public service delivery.

During a review meeting attended by Siang Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu, administrative officers, heads of offices, and other key officials from the MSME and Labour Department, the union minister offered guidance and suggestions aimed at bolstering developmental activities and enhancing public service delivery across the district.

The district administration presented a detailed overview of the district, outlining significant developmental initiatives and proposed interventions.

Following the meeting, Karandlaje undertook site visits within Boleng. Her inspection included a brick fabrication unit operating under the Deendayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDUSY), a housing unit benefitting from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), and the district hospital in Boleng.

Subsequently, Karandlaje proceeded to Moli and Moruk villages in Pangin circle, where she inspected various community infrastructures, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) beneficiaries’houses, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) works, the open air gym, and the water tank infrastructure developed under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).

The union minister also interacted with beneficiaries and villagers of Pangin village and reviewed the various developmental activities currently being implemented in the area. (DIPRO)
