ZIRO/YAZALI, 20 Jun: In a major push to bring essential public services directly to the people, the Lower Subansiri district administration conducted a comprehensive ‘jan kalyan shivir (people’s welfare camp)’ in Hari here.

Part of a statewide celebration marking ’12 years of trust, development & public welfare’, the event was held at the Government Secondary School in Hari.

Modelled after the highly successful Seva Aapke Dwar initiative, the camp was designed to cut through bureaucratic red tape. Instead of citizens travelling to distant government offices, heads of various departments set up dedicated help desks on-site to provide immediate services, information, and on-the-spot enrolment.

The camp placed special emphasis on supporting local agriculture through natural farming awareness, alongside a major drive that enrolled residents in central government welfare schemes.
