ITANAGAR, 24 Jun: As many as 13 aspirants from Arunachal Pradesh have successfully cleared the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026, marking a proud achievement for the state and keeping alive its hopes for greater representation in the country’s premier civil services.
According to information shared on Wednesday, the successful candidates are Michelle Meth Mai, Duge Buchi, Bambom Perme, Chadak Rai, Ijay Angu, Kabom Lego, Kenzar Bagra, Mibom Takoh, Nido Kalo, Punyo Robin, Tagru Tatu, Tato Diri and Techi Tayum.
The candidates will now appear for the Civil Services (Main) Examination, the next stage of the highly competitive selection process conducted by the UPSC for recruitment to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and other central civil services.
The Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026 was conducted by the UPSC on May 24 across the country. The commission declared the results on June 24, shortlisting candidates for the Main Examination scheduled to be held later this year.
The UPSC Civil Services Examination is regarded as one of the most prestigious and challenging competitive examinations in India, attracting lakhs of aspirants annually for a limited number of vacancies.
