RUKSIN, 17 Jul: Pasighat West MLA Ninong Ering awarded cash incentives of Rs 1 lakh to Bambom Perme of Ruksin village after he cleared the UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2026.

The cash incentive under the MLA’s scholarship scheme was handed over to Perme at the Ruksin ADC’s office here in East Siang district on Friday, in the presence of the recipient’s parents and Ruksin ADC Kiran Ningo.

An engineering graduate, Perme cleared the examination for the second consecutive time. He had earlier cracked the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission Civil Services examination and is now serving as circle officer in Kurung Kumey district.

The MLA launched the scholarship in 2019 for local UPSC civil service aspirants of his constituency to support coaching and procurement of study materials.

Under the scheme, Ering provides Rs 1 lakh each to aspirants who qualify the UPSC civil services preliminary examination, and Rs 2 lakh each to those who clear the main examination.

In the previous year, three IAS aspirants of Pasighat West constituency availed of the cash incentives.

The MLA and the ADC extended their best wishes to the IAS aspirant and expressed hope that Perme would crack the main examination and bring glory to the area and the state.

Programme coordinator of the scheme, Assistant Professor Enuk Libang said that scholarship and incentive scheme initiated by MLA Ering are also available for APSSB aspirants and other national-level competitive examinations.
