KANUBARI, 20 Jun: A total of 83,201 farmers beneficiaries from Arunachal Pradesh received financial assistance amounting to Rs 16.88,38 crore through direct benefit transfer (DBT) under the 23rd instalment of PM-KISAN, said an official press release.

Attending the live webcast programme marking the release of the 23rd instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), organised at the ADC conference hall here in Longding district on Saturday, Agriculture and Allied Sectors Minister Gabriel D Wangsu highlighted the importance of PM-KISAN as a flagship farmer welfare initiative of the Government of India, which has been providing assured income support to farmers and contributing significantly towards agricultural development and livelihood security.

He also appreciated the efforts of the Union Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and all implementing agencies involved in ensuring the successful delivery of benefits to farmers.

Government officials, including Kanubari ADC Yashwant Meena, senior scientists of KVK Longding, ZPMs, public leaders, and more than 200 farmer beneficiaries from Kanubari and adjoining areas attended the programme.
