PASIGHAT, 26 May: The East Siang deputy commissioner on Monday issued a travel advisory regarding damage to the Pasighat-Pangin road, and urged commuters to refrain from using the route for travelling.
The advisory has been issued after the PWD Pasighat division executive engineer reported the situation.
As per reports, Catchment 2 +145 km area in the Billong (Kalamati) portion along the Pasighat-Pangin road (NH 13) is severely affected by landslides and continuous rock falls due to incessant rainfall for the last two days. It is said that there is every apprehension of loss of life and properties of commuters passing through this route.
The travel advisory has been served to the administrative officers of adjoining districts, and also circulated for public information.
