ITANAGAR, 27 Aug: The 13th board meeting of the Arunachal Pradesh Biodiversity Board (APBB) was held on Thursday at the PCCF conference hall here.
Chaired by APBB Chairman Hawa Bagang, the meeting was attended by Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & HoFF P Subramanyum, the tourism secretary, the forestry HoD, representatives from the NERIST, and from the Departments of Law, Agriculture, Horticulture, Panchayati Raj, ZSI, BSI, GB Pant CCF (HQ), DCF (BR&E), and officials of the APBB.
During the meeting, APBB RO Dr Bamin Yakang gave a brief presentation on the status of the revised draft Arunachal Pradesh Biological Diversity Rules, 2026.
Detailed discussion was held also on the provision of the draft Biological Diversity Rules, 2026. The meeting was also joined through the virtual mode by APBB adviser CA Reddy, who provided valuable insight and suggestions on matters of biodiversity governance and conservation planning.
His guidance was appreciated by the board and is expected to further enrich the functioning of the APBB. The board in principle agreed to the revised draft rules for onward submission to the competent authority.
