Editor,

I respectfully request the ICR district administration’s intervention to ensure that bandh calls are not imposed in the Itanagar Capital Region (ICR), particularly during the academic session.

A large number of students residing in the ICR are preparing for various competitive examinations. Many of them support themselves through self-employment and part-time work in order to pay rent, educational expenses, and other essential costs. Frequent bandh calls disrupt their daily livelihoods and academic activities, causing financial hardship and loss of valuable study time.

Such disruptions make it difficult for students to complete their syllabus on schedule, and adversely affect their preparations for important competitive examinations. The academic future of many hardworking students is therefore placed at risk.

In the interest of the students and the wider public, I humbly request the district administration to take appropriate measures to maintain normalcy and ensure that educational activities and livelihoods are not interrupted.
