ITANAGAR, 8 Jul: The Arunachal Pradesh State Human Rights Commission (APSHRC) on Wednesday organized a comprehensive field visit for its interns to Chimpu police station, as part of its ongoing internship initiative.

The interns, comprising 4th-semester students from Don Bosco College, Jully, and Dera Natung Government College, Itanagar, were given firsthand exposure to the grassroots functioning of the law enforcement and criminal justice system.

Officer-in-Charge of the police station Inspector Sunita Nabam briefed them on critical police procedures, including, registration of cases and first information reports, legal nuances of criminal investigation, daily operations and responsibilities of a functioning police station.

The interns were also taken on a guided tour of the facility, where they observed the roles and functions of various specialized cells.

The educational tour and field guidance were led by APSHRC’s Inspector T.V Camdir, alongside Constable Tap Sangeeta, who provided the students with practical insights into police-public relations and human rights safeguards at the ground level.
