ITANAGAR, 20 Aug: AIOC defeated Si-Donyi Cricket Foundation by four wickets at the 6th Arunachal Club T20 Championship on Thursday.
Batting first, Si-Donyi posted a competitive 147 for seven in their allotted 20 overs.
Nabam Totu scored 47 off 43 balls, hitting four fours and a six, and remained unbeaten.
Leki scored a brisk 26 from 20 balls, while Yorjum Sera and Rajesh Rebi contributed 24 runs each. Mibom Mosu scored a quick 14 from just seven deliveries.
Leki took three wickets, conceding 21 runs, while Sosar Kakum and Lalit Deva claimed two wickets each.
In reply, Techi Tado led the charge with an explosive 35 off just 20 balls. His knock was studded with seven fours.
Sosar Kakum added 33 from 25 balls, while Abhishek Pal contributed a rapid 19 off 11 deliveries.
With the required run rate under control, AIOC maintained its momentum despite already losing six wickets.
Bijoy Singh Deori gave the finishing touch with an unbeaten 29 off 20 balls, supported by Jamru 99, who remained not out on five. AIOC reached 150 for six in 18.3 overs.
In another match played on Thursday, Neelam Cricket Club made a strong comeback to beat Seppa United by 39 runs.
Neelam Cricket Club, after choosing to bat first, posted 125, losing four wickets in 20 overs.
Captain Neelam Togum played a patient and unbeaten innings of 47 from 59 balls, hitting five boundaries.
Ijum Riram provided the late acceleration with an unbeaten 21 from 16 balls, including two sixes, while Hage Tallo contributed 17.
Seppa United Cricket Club found the chase difficult from the beginning. Neelam's bowlers repeatedly struck at crucial moments, leaving the opposition under pressure.
Kaya Neelam led the bowling attack with an excellent spell of three wickets for 21 runs, while Hunu delivered an economical spell, taking two wickets for only seven runs from four overs. Nabam Angu also claimed two wickets for nine runs.
Jorjee Sonam offered some resistance for Seppa United, scoring 27 off 33 balls with three fours and a six, while Biro Doka added 12.
However, the rest of the batting lineup struggled to withstand Neelam's bowling attack. Seppa United were eventually bowled out for 86 runs in 19.3 overs.
On Wednesday, DPCA registered a convincing victory over Si-Donyi Cricket Foundation after successfully chasing a target of 111 runs in just 13.1 overs, losing five wickets.
Si-Donyi Cricket Foundation, after winning the toss and electing to bat, were bowled out for 110 in 18.5 overs.
Aman Pisa anchored the Si-Donyi innings with a determined 65 off 58 deliveries, hitting five boundaries and four sixes. Takar Muri contributed 11, while Leki and Nabam Totu added 8 and 6, respectively. However, regular wickets prevented Si-Donyi from building a substantial total.
DPCA's bowling attack remained disciplined throughout the innings. Mojahid Khan claimed two wickets for just 17 runs in 3.5 overs, including a maiden. Tanmay Paul and Biku Sha picked up two wickets each.
Chasing 111, DPCA got off to a flying start through Md Akib, who smashed 42 from 21 balls at a strike rate of 200. His innings included five fours and three sixes.
Aman Kumar contributed 30 runs from 26 balls, while Techi Tarum Jr made 13 runs from seven deliveries. He struck two sixes. DPCA eventually reached 111 in 13.1 overs.
In another match played on the day, Caden Cricket Club edged past Neelam Cricket Club by three wickets.
Neelam Cricket Club, opting to bat first, struggled against a disciplined Caden bowling attack and were dismissed for only 73 in 19.3 overs.
Nabam Tagum top-scored with 25 runs off 30-balls, while Nabam Hachang made 24 runs from 26 deliveries.
Nabam Natung claimed four wickets, conceding just 11 runs in four overs. Nabam India and Caden Hage took two wickets each.
Caden's chase was not without difficulties. Teshi Tiku played a crucial role, scoring 24 off 18 balls with help of four boundaries, while Nabam Natung made 12 runs.
After losing seven wickets, Caden eventually reached 74 in 13.5 overs to register a three-wicket victory. Taba Tatang remained unbeaten on six.
