ITANAGAR, 22 Aug: Itanagar Cricket Club (ICC) beat Caden Cricket Club by 8 wickets, while Donyi Polo Cricket Academy (DPCA) secured a convincing 40-run victory over AIOC in the 6th Arunachal Club T20 Championship on Saturday.

In the first match of the day, ICC opted to field first and restricted CCC to 121/8 in 20 overs.

Teshi Tiku played a fighting knock of 55 runs from 46 balls, while Jesh contributed 25 runs. However, ICC's bowlers maintained regular pressure and prevented the opposition from building any major partnerships.

Darge Bagra, Yomge Tasar and Rominson picked up two wickets each.

In reply, ICC reached the target in just 12.1 overs, losing only two wickets.

Chera Mapu smashed 42 runs from only 17 deliveries, including two fours and five sixes. Captain Biki Kumar II scored 44 from 23 balls, while Suraj Tayam made a quick 27 runs from 22 deliveries with the help of four boundaries. Both remained unbeaten.

Chera Mapu was chosen for the 'man of the match' award for his brilliant performance.

In the second match, DPCA posted a fighting total of 103 runs in 18.5 overs, losing all wickets.

MD Akib made 22 from 13 balls, Aman Kumar 16 runs, and Gedak Ete contributed 14 runs.

For AIOC, Lalit Deva took four wickets, giving away only nine runs in 3.5 overs.

Pasang Norbu and Tsering Tashi also picked up two wickets each.

Defending a modest target, DPCA's disciplined and aggressive bowling attack dismantled the AIOC batting line-up, bowling them out for just 63 runs in 13.1 overs to secure a 40-run victory.

Yowa Topu claimed four wickets, conceding 22 in four overs, while Sanoj Panwar took three wickets for only three runs in his two overs. MD Akib and Mojahid Khan took a wicket each.

For AIOC, Pasang Norbu remained unbeaten on 14 runs, while Tsering Tashi scored 11, but the DPCA bowlers never allowed the chase to gain momentum.

Yowa Topu was declared the 'man of the match' for his outstanding bowling performance.
