ITANAGAR, 21 Sep: In a major milestone for regional healthcare access, Dr Pagli Ori, a prominent dental professional from Itanagar, along with a colleague, has established a new medical laboratory in Ladakh.

The initiative brings essential diagnostic and testing facilities directly to underserved communities in one of the country's most geographically challenging regions.

For the residents of Ladakh, accessing timely medical diagnostics often requires arduous, long-distance travel. The newly launched laboratory aims to bridge this critical healthcare gap by providing vital testing services locally, significantly reducing travel burdens and improving patient outcomes through faster diagnostic turnarounds.

"Bringing quality healthcare facilities to remote regions requires dedication and a vision beyond conventional practice," said Dr Ori.

Dr Ori is an accomplished dental surgeon and implantologist holding BDS, MIDA, and FFAC credentials, as well as a fellowship in radiofrequency cautery. An alumnus of the Divya Jyoti College of Dental Sciences and Research, Dr Ori is the owner and chief practitioner at Dentouch Dental Clinic in Itanagar.

The establishment of the Ladakh laboratory represents an extension of his commitment to improving community health and expanding access to vital medical infrastructure across remote and high-altitude regions of India.
